Kim started out in fashion photography in his native South Africa, and made the transition into film gradually as more and more clients asked him to make their moving images.

His natural aptitude for storytelling and instinct for subtle, emotive performance, combined with his extraordinary visual talent, led him to make the moving image his focus.

Winner of awards at Cannes, Clios, One Show and many more, the biblical photography industry has listed him among the “Top 100 Creative Minds” in the world, and he is also included in Ad Age’s global list of the top 100 directors, as well as regularly in the Gunn Report’s 20 most awarded directors. His work includes brands like Audi, Cadburys, Molson, KFC, BMW, KFC and Prudential.
